#1 Gourmet Sentai Bara Yarou
Everything is there just to be cool and fun, from the weird ass enemies / bosses to how the backgrounds are random as fuck, exactly like a game should be. To the rather great and packing combat system, makes final fight tough look and run like launch game.
Options include setting enemies on fire, standard 2 areal attacks, pummel someone into the ground then stand on top of them witch lets you elbow drop them, running attack, shake your bum, basically all of this is to set up enemies for grabs.
Special moves can be inputted after grabbing an enemy, press L and R repeatedly, if you wait a bit then press it a few times it does the weaker special, but if you mash it faster, does the high damage attack instead, and pressing L while grappling will launch the enemy away, then they fly back and you can time a attack to do lots of damage.
The other sudo-major aspect is collecting ingredient drops, witch you get to combine in between stages, they only affect your health, because it does not refill itself during stages.

neat feature you can have an AI buddy that's pretty competent, fallow you around well, stumbles when fighting short enemies and it has a little hard time doing the best grab move, and you can still hit each other, but they are still cool to have. Game doesn't even lag, when they are around, probably because its letterboxes
this is the easiest beat em up ever made, you can continue forever and bosses are really easy
#2 Violent Storm
Konami Arcade 1993
best beat em up on arcade,
lunge attacks, counter hitting is a thing, multiple grabs and you can even pick up enemies/bosses of the ground, with the wrestling boss you can completely beat him with just otg grabs.
letting you counter attack after being hit, not stunlocking you is a killer feature
on top of that you can back counterattack. This one revelation launches the game from pretty amazing to a masterpiece. Any other beat em up would have you waste more health for just 1 guy, or even the group, wasting more health makes it all the more unused as opposed to a natural move you have, sure you can memorize all the food pickups, but even then punching back should be an option. You can still special your way out of trouble of course this game has it all, they did improve on it by letting you eater use it while being stationary or you lunching forward.
dont wanna think of a joke here, so here's a cool match i saw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcLglwvcltY part 1

#3 Saturday Night Slam Masters - Muscle Bomber: The Body Explosion / DUO ver.
CAPCOM arcade 1993
8 directional movement JUMP, ATTACK AND A SUBMISSION BUTTON! Its all simple to understand and get into, with easy to pull of special moves and polished gameplay, all of that being its selling point that it shits on most console wrestling games with how intuitive everything is, even has 2 on 2
Compared to lets say Cutie Suzuki no Ringside Angel, you don't get health back, instead the more HP you loose the longer your ass stays knocked out, when you reach 0 you don't die, only way to loose is to get pinned down for 3 seconds, standard but the fact that you don't get health back makes things way more intense and I feel like the match matters way more.
Characters are all fun to play, but i do wish there was more then 1 recolored ring, sequel did that and also had more characters, but that one was a standard fighting game instead of a wrestling game, so thanks for that one dipshits.
It had an update: DUO, forces the game into tag mode and also the submission button doubles as a grab button, along with damage being ever so slightly different, it does change the game a good amount with the extra reach you have, its cool.
#4 Puinsher
Capcom Arcade 1993
i feel with most capcom games, their horizontal hitboxes are way too thin, in the Punishers case they feels just right
Japanese version has an extra flame kick attack that can be done by both of them and it's not in any other version for some reason. To do it, you need to be rolling, then press jump, hold down and press attack.
Has these fun segments where Punisher thinks hes Robocop and can only shoot at armed targets, so you whip out the pistol and mash all the bad guys out of existence.
before he got blak
After 2 normie ass capcom pics back-to-back, time to return to the IREM chads:
#5 Undercover Cops
IREM 1992 Arcade
All the stages have their own sweet photo of the boss, ain't that lovely.
Same good people that ended up making metal slug here, really good for a first attempt at making a beat em up
It has the the coolest weapons ever, from ripping it out of the ground to the way you can use it multiple times until its a almost turned to dust, and how you can bonk people on the heard if your doing an areal attack.
only thing i don't like is how enemies take 1-2 more hits then I would like, and it feel as if your hitting sponges because they don't flinch for long enough.
#6 Ninja Baseball Bat Man
IREM Arcade 1993
On the surface looks like a mashy basic tmnt clone, NAH its matching violent storm's quality, from the controls being used to the max, with so many moves, to the variety in locals, it even 1-ups it, by having vehicles
This is basically undercover cops 2, feels like they heavily modified it, the sponge feel is gone, mechanics are way more advanced. New moves include holding jump then pressing attack to do a new move that's unique for every character, run feature, you could do a dash in UC, but running is so much better
Coolest replacement for random food on the ground, instead its a random heart, you pick it up and cheerleaders come flying in, give you food and stun enemies.
IN CONCLUSION:
ASS ASS ASS
GONNA SLEEP ON THE ASS
