Batman is my, and probably many others' favourite character.
When it comes to the Golden and Silver ages it features some very campy stuff and homages to pop culture at the times, but it still has some essentials for Bat-Fans. And a huge selection of first appearances from Alfred to the Scarecrow, and the obvious one in the title, and others.
Btw each cover has art by the late, great Darwyn Cooke.
Also as a side note the World's Finest Comics aren't a batman/superman team-up book,but it was back in the day a comic feauturing a batman and superman story separately,so they never really worked together.Which is a point i make since the Superman Golden age stuff collect only his side of the stories and this Batman's.
